Handmade custom rugs with passion and precision
My name is Oliwer and for over five years I have been creating tufted rugs in the heart of Gdansk.
Rugsly's bread and butter are hand-made tufted rugs — a bit like a sewing machine in reverse. The backing stays still while coloured threads are applied layer by layer. Despite popular stock designs, the heart of the business is still making pieces tailored to each client's idea. Rugsly rugs end up at birthdays, Father's and Mother's Days, YouTube shoots — decorating living rooms, bedrooms, reception desks and offices.
Rugsly started simply as a desire to make a cool rug for myself. As it turned out, people around me noticed what I was doing and wanted something custom just for them. I started with 2–3 orders a month in 2021. Today I consistently complete 30 projects a month — a pace that still lets me care about every detail. It's significant growth, especially given how tough the beginning was. Right before my final exams I spent all my savings on equipment, and orders were scarce for the first six months.
The risk paid off. I've sold over 900 hand-made rugs — visible among others in content from Friz, Genzie, Jasper and many clothing brands.

Rugsly is more than a shop. It's a space where your idea — a sketch on a napkin, a photo of your dog, a favourite pattern — becomes something tangible that stays with you for years.
I also run workshops, because I believe everyone should experience this magic at least once.
Every loop is a decision. Every rug is a story.
